For faculty, we recommend the nearby Hotel Durant, the Berkeley Faculty Club, and the Women’s Faculty Club.  Faculty members interested in staying at the Women’s Faculty Club should contact Line Mikkelsen (mikkelsen@berkeley.edu) to make reservations.  Please note that the Hotel Durant requires a two-night minimum stay.

The UC Berkeley campus is also easily accessible by BART (Bay Area Rapid Transport).  Use the Downtown Berkeley station.  Warning: there have been rumors of a possible BART strike planned for Friday, Oct. 11.  Check the BART website for details. 

Driving directions:

From the Peninsula: from 84 East (Dumbarton Bridge), take 880 North to 980 East and then to 24 East.  Exit on Claremont Ave., turn left on Claremont, take a left on College Ave., and a left on Haste to get to the parking garage.

From San Francisco Airport: take 101 North to 80 East (Bay Bridge) onto 580 East and then 24 East.  Exit on Claremont Ave., turn left on Claremont, take a left on College Ave., and a left on Haste to get to the parking garage.

From Oakland Airport: take 880 North to 980 East to 24 East.  Exit on Claremont Ave., turn left on Claremont, take a left on College Ave., and a left on Haste to get to the parking garage.

Previous Meetings

The CUSP project was founded in 2008 with the aim of creating a semi-structured venue for interaction between the many researchers in the California semantics/pragmatics community. 

CUSP 1 was held at UCLA on May 23-24, 2009.

CUSP 2 was held at UC Santa Cruz on November 21, 2009.

CUSP 3 was held at Stanford University on October 15-16, 2010.

CUSP 4 was held at the University of Southern California on February 3-4, 2012.

CUSP 5 was held at UCSD on October 27-28, 2012.
