Language: The "reference" language of the source

Definition: The name and genetic affiliation of a language which
the resource contains data on.

Obligation: Required

Datatype: Character String

Maximum Occurence: Unlimited (could be repeated for
sources with data on multiple languages)

Genetic Affiliation: A specification of the genetic affiliation of
the language. A system of accepted notation will have to be worked
out for this. Presumably, linguists working with particular language
groups will determine how to do this.

Alternate Names: A list of all the known names of the language
(including any appropriate dialect names).

Comment: This element is different from the language attribute
which is meant to indicate the encoding language of a document.
It should contain the information about the languages described
by the particular the document.
