In present tense, with no object marking:

Negation- proximal tense:
Gloss	Sereer	Gloss	Sereer
1SG I don't see	ga'iim	1PL We don't see	i nga'ee(r)
2SG You don't see	ga'iro'	2PL Ya'll don't see	nu nga'ee(r)
3SG S/he doesn't see	ga'ee(r)	3PL They don't see	nga'ee(r)

The following paradigms show predicate negation for various tenses, as well as 3sg object marking:

Negation- past tense:
Gloss	Sereer	Gloss	Sereer
1sg- 'I didn't see him'	ga' 'inum	1pl- 'we didn't see him'	inga' 'iraan
2sg- 'you didn't see him'	ga' 'ino'	2pl- 'you all didn't see him'	nunga' 'iraan
3sg- 'he didn't see her'	ga' 'iraan	3pl- 'they didn't see him'	nga' 'iraan
