The 6th California Universities Semantics and Pragmatics Conference


CUSP 6 will be held on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the University of California, Berkeley.  It is co-hosted by the Department of Linguistics and the Department of Philosophy.


Abstract Submission

Please submit a non-anonymous 1-page abstract as a pdf to by Sept. 17.


Participation in CUSP is free and open to interested faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students.  For organizational purposes, please email us if you are coming (even if you are not presenting), no later than September 20, 2013.

The CUSP project was founded in 2008 with the aim of creating a semi-structured venue for interaction between the many researchers in the California semantics/pragmatics community. 

CUSP 1 was held at UCLA on May 23-24, 2009.

CUSP 2 was held at UC Santa Cruz on November 21, 2009.

CUSP 3 was held at Stanford University on October 15-16, 2010.

CUSP 4 was held at the University of Southern California on February 3-4, 2012.

CUSP 5 was held at UCSD on October 27-28, 2012.
