BIFoCAL has produced a series of documents in order to assist the general linguist in choosing a tool for digitizing linguistic data. The primary document is Questions to Help Evaluate Linguistic Tools which is a series of detailed questions to consider before choosing a tool. The other documents are reviews of particular, popular tools in use by linguists. These reviews are intended to both serve as useful evaluations for someone in the process of choosing a tool and also as models for someone who needs to evaluate a tool which is not reviewed. If you are interested in writing a review for a tool not reviewed here and would like it posted on this site, please contact .
