I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Linguistics at the University of California, Berkeley. My main interests lie in phonology, especially issues at the morphosyntax/phonology interface. I am currently working on my dissertation on grammatical tone, examining this phenomenon from typological, formal, and functionalist perspectives. A significant part of my research involves field linguistics, particularly in Nigeria where I have worked extensively on Edoid and Ijoid languages. See my research page for more.

Feel free to get in touch with me to discuss my research, or if you have questions on graduate life at Berkeley.
