Morphology search: -on- [-on-] • medial suffix • carry • Variant -rn-
This suffix rarely occurs without other suffixes. It combines with other
suffixes to form the frequent -onem- "carry in the hands, handle, manipulate",
used to make e-class verbs; the less common -ones-, with a similar
meaning; the combinations -onekw-, -onewkw- (noninflected variant
-onew), and -onechkenekw "be carried by water, move on water"; and one or
two other combinations.
