A spectrogram of I should have thought spectrograms were unreadable

Here's a reprint of the spectrogram published in figure 8.13 in "Course". Notice the differences in these two speaker's production of the sentence - "should've" is completely devoiced in Ladefoged's version of the sentence. Unfortunately, I don't have the audio of this utterance.
