Chapter 8 - hVd words

Spectrograms of the words heed, hid, head, had, hod, hawed, hood, who’d as spoken by a male speaker of American English.  This speaker is different from the two speakers shown in figures 8.4 and 8.5 in "Course". See if you can measure his formants from these spectrograms and plot his vowel space as in figure 8.6. This will highlight a difference between "General American" and the English spoken in the western half of the U.S.
