	When they hunted deer, they made medicine in the morning.

	They finished.

[3]	kári xás tuvákirar.
	Then (the hunter) started out

[4]	víriva vúra ûumukich tóo máh papúufich.
	He would see the deer close by.

[5]	púyava itráhyar tóo ykar.
	He would kill ten.

[6]	tupáfip.
	He used up (his limit).

[7]	púyava xás kári tóo pvâaram.
	Then he would go home.

[8]	púyava kúkuum vúra imáan tu'ákunvar.
	He would go hunting again the next day.

[9]	papi'êep kunkupa'ákunvutihanik kun'ákeekvutih.
	They carried bows when they hunted, long ago.

[10]	káru pavimtáap kuntakváratih.
	And they carried the arrows across their chest.

[11]	káru káakum mah'íitnihach kuntátapvunaati.
	And some men were trapping early in the morning.

[12]	pa'ípaha u'íihya patáaskar tá kunimthátap.
	Where a tree stood, they lashed a pole to it.

[13]	koovúra uyvúrukahiti papufich'ánav.
	They rubbed deer medicine on everything.

[14]	víriva máh'iit patá kuntátapvanva víri vaa ukupítih pamukunchíshiih, víri koovúra pamukunchíshii ánav tá kuniyvúrukva.
	When they went trapping in the morning, their dogs would do this, they would all be rubbed with medicine.

[15]	xás tá kunívyiihship.
	Then they went off.

[16]	púyava máruk pachishíi papúufich tá kuniyvúnpiithva.
	The dogs chased the deer around uphill.

[17]	víriva kúuk tá kun'ahávoo páchishiih.
	The dogs would herd them there (towards the traps).

[18]	víriva kúuk tá kunívyiihma pamukun'ímpaah.
	(The deer) would go to their paths.

[19]	víriva ukupitih, patupaxfúroo papúufich.
	That's what they did, when they snared deer.

[20]	púyava koovúra tá kuniykáranaa.
	They killed them all.

[21]	púyava kári tá kunpávyiihship, taay tá kuníykar papúufich.
	Then they went back home, they had killed lots of deer.

[22]	púyava vúra kóomahich.
